The FM-9-IXE ratemeter system detects both Iodine-125 and Xenon-125. Built-in data archive and retrieval provides an easy computer interface. Operator settable data updates; standard time frame is every few seconds. With a standard flow rate of 10 lpm and 3/8 inches lead shielding around the Iodine detector exceptionally high sensitivity is achieved. The flow path has the air go through a particulate prefilter to remove Cs-137, then passes through the 1-inch lead equivalent shielded Iodine detector and enters the Xenon detector.

The two readings are recorded simultaneously. A mass flow meter, built-in pump, and air outlet/inlet hoses provide access to the area, duct, stack, glove box, hood, or filter trap. User-settable audio and visual alarms. Local Readout. Data archive/retrieval. Computer interface.
