Scintillation Probes (Gamma) Plastic:
- PGS-3PL Gamma Scintillation probe with air equivalent, 2'' diameter x 2'' thick plastic scintillation element. (Figure 1)
- PGS-55W Large well, to one liter samples. 5'' diameter x 2'' thick plastic probe. Sensativity is 1nanoCi in one minute and 0.1 nanoCi in Ten Minutes.
- PWS-18 High integrity, extremely sensitive scintillation probe. Suitable for use in hostile environments or underwater. Ideal for liquid or gas effluent monitoring or base line studies down to 10-6 microCi/ml (Cs-137 in water). Sensitivity is approximately 1.4 x 106 cpm per mR/hr. The detector, a 2 3/4" dia. x 4 1/2" long plastic scintillator, is optically coupled to photomultiplier tube. The PM tube is followed by an amplifier which is capable of driving 1000 feet of cable. The output pulses have negative polarity with magnitude equal to or greater than 50mV. The PWS-18 requires +12V in addition to the high voltage bias for the photomultiplier tube. The housing is made of welded stainless steel with O-ring seal. (Figure 2)
